Preauthorization Agent
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with medical providers regarding the admission of all elective cases and the status of ER-admitted cases
- Following up with the members regarding their medical inquiries regarding the medical nature of the requested procedure
- Follow up with medical providers for daily updates on the medical condition and prognosis of admitted cases
- Follow up with members upon discharge to guide them in the post-acute care phase and discuss with them the instructions for the needed care
- Applying medical case management principles to achieve a higher level of medical outcomes and patient satisfaction
Skills/Qualifications:
- BSC in medicine/pharmacy.
- Having a fair medical background.
- Fluent in English, good communication skills & fair medical decision-making skills.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the insurance field or pharmacies.
- Fulfilled governmental obligation
