One Time Password (OTP)

At GlobeMed Egypt, we understand the importance of offering a streamlined and secure healthcare experience for insured members. Therefore, we always go the extra mile to implement exceptional, digital features.


With just one click, insured members can confirm the requested health services as per the doctor’s prescription! This is possible through the One-Time Password (OTP) feature. The OTP is implemented on all outpatient claims sent by healthcare providers. Hence, whenever a claim is initiated, the member will receive an SMS message through their mobile with a link listing all the services sent for approval along with the OTP to confirm the transaction. Once the member confirms the transaction, the claim will be sent successfully for processing.


This feature prevents errors in transactions thus avoiding delays in accessing care at the healthcare provider, secures member’s confirmation and approval, and eliminates any possible fraud attempt.  

E-prescription Service

The new e-prescription service allows the creation of prescriptions easily through the system, after the patient's visit to the doctor's clinic, reduces errors from the providers in entering the diagnosis, prescribed services or doses. Consequently, the patient will receive an SMS link to their mobile phone including the prescribed medications, laboratory tests and portable scans along with the prior approvals from GlobeMed allowing the patient to directly dispense the prescribed health services. Hence, offering insured members a smooth customer journey.

For the first time in Egypt, we launched the Telehealth Consultations services where members can consult their doctor of choice from the comfort of their homes. They can choose from a wide range of specialties including gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, cardiology, pediatrics and E.N.T. 

Insured members can simply access this portal to book an appointment and the consultation will be carried on through Zoom meeting. After the consultation, members will receive an SMS with the prescribed medications and services via e-prescription thus offering them the privilege of dispensing at any provider of choice within their network.

Through our SMO, insured members benefit from a medical network including prominent doctors from various specialties. They have the opportunity to get a review of their diagnosis from an expert in the relevant field. They can book a second consultation to confirm the first diagnosis of their case and to avoid any possible misdiagnosis. SMO service may lead to major changes in diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
