GlobeMed Egypt was established in August 2012 with a primary focus to offer the best healthcare benefits management services in Egypt. GlobeMed Egypt introduced the first online system to connect different stakeholders including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and insured members. With over 12 years of experience in the Egyptian market, GlobeMed Egypt is a pacesetter and benchmark reference in the health insurance sector in Egypt; offering quality services and solutions that best fit the needs of its client insurers and their insured members.


We are pioneers at many levels; introducing the online system connecting different stakeholders including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and insured members for the first time in Egypt in 2012. The organization has not looked back ever since! We have customized our solutions to become the plug-and-play platform. Catering to the health insurance market needs, offering our clients full TPA services or standalone solutions including Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM), Out-patient Benefits Management (OBM), and access to our platform to manage their members’ benefits.


GlobeMed Egypt serves 18 insurance companies with a portfolio exceeding 700,000 insured members, providing them with comprehensive TPA services, in addition to over 500,000 members benefiting from our pharmacy benefits management services, making GlobeMed Egypt the leading healthcare benefits management company in Egypt with a portfolio exceeding 1,200,000 insured members.

Expanding our portfolio to proudly serve over 80K insured members after 2 years of operations in the Egyptian market.

2016

Rolling out our partial dispensing of chronic medications service for a convenient dispensing of medications whenever the required quantities are not available at one pharmacy.

Onboarding the 2nd client benefiting from our state-of-the-art Pharmacy Benefits Management solution. 

2017

Launching of GlobeMed FIT mobile app as part of our digital arsenal offering insured members a self-service app to manage their health insurance.

2018

Expanding our field offices to 10 offices in high-traffic hospitals where our representatives are always ready to assist patients and ensure a smooth patient experience at the hospitals. 

2019

Launching of the Telehealth Consultation service for the first time in Egypt, allowing members to consult their doctor of choice from the comfort of their homes. 

2020

Launching of our WhatsApp number to answer inquiries and speed up the processing of non-automated approvals.

2021

Introduction of the E-prescription service for the first time in Egypt, allowing the creation of prescriptions easily through the system, after the patient visits to the doctor's clinic.

2022

Celebrating our 10ᵗʰ anniversary and proudly serving over 500,000 insured members under our TPA portfolio of clients. 

2023

Universal Health Insurance Authority and Northeastern University and GlobeMed Group Collaborate to launch the Recommendations of the Impactful Research Initiative: “Harnessing the Role of the Private Sector in Advancing the Universal Health Coverage in Egypt”
