2. How to use the service?

 Head directly to a provider (hospital or private clinics) of your choice inside the network to perform the consultation directly using their medical card, unless your policy states that you need a referral letter which will be mentioned on your medical card. After finishing the consultation, please visit an online provider with the claim form and medical ID to have the service provided directly. If your prescribed services require prior approval, it will be received within 10 minutes.

3. What are the additional supporting services GlobeMed offers?

GlobeMed is always keen on your health and wellbeing and for this we offer the following support services for an outstanding customer experience:

  • Advanced call center operating 24 hours all week long to provide you with the needed support and answers to all your queries.
  • Dedicated WhatsApp number that can be used in knowing the medical network of providers, submitting approval requests, tracking chronic treatment and reporting complaints.

4. How to benefit from GlobeMed’s discount rates at the medical providers?

GlobeMed offers discount cards that provide access to over 1500 providers. The discount card has an annual fee of 250 EGP that can be offered to any interested party. If you would like to request a card please send the name and a copy of the national ID to your HR department and we will take care of the rest.

5. How to know the policy limitations and covered services?

Download the GlobeMed Fit App, login to the insurance section, then press “My Policy” and check “Benefits details”. Through it you can view your annual ceiling, service type limits, and know the applied copayment (percentage of the patient share, paid upon having the service provided according to the policy agreement). Please note, the copayment is also mentioned on the medical card for the medical providers’ use.

Additionally, all the above details can be shared by your HR department upon request.

6. How can I know which healthcare provider is within GlobeMed’s network?

You can identify the healthcare provider within GlobeMed network along with all the details including their geographical location, phone number(s), and the status of each provider (online or offline) through various methods including:

  • Scanning the QR code located at the back of your medical card that will direct you to the support link where you will choose “healthcare providers” and the network tier (001-002-003-004) mentioned on your medical card that will display the covered providers within your policy.
  • Sending us a message on our WhatsApp number, located at the back of the medical card, and choose “Medical Network Inquiries" & follow the steps.
  • Open the GlobeMed FIT mobile app and check the providers’ directory under the insurance section.

 

Please note that the network is regularly updated so make sure to check it frequently.

7. What are the most preferred medical providers

It is recommended to have your services performed at hospitals where GlobeMed has representative offices. Our in-hospital offices representative will assist you in receiving your outpatient services without any delays, follow up on inpatient services, answer your queries and address any issue that may arise throughout your visit to ensure a smooth customer journey. 8. What to do if I lost my medical card and I need a medical service?

When your card is lost, please report the matter to your HR department in order to reissue a new one for you. In the meantime, if you require a healthcare service you can use your e-card that can be found under the insurance section on your GlobeMed FIT account.

 

We also recommend that you activate the OTP service through your HR department in order to secure your transactions when your card is lost or stolen and to avoid any fraud or abuse.

9. What are the applicable security measures against fraudulent actions and identity theft?

GlobeMed is offering the one-time password (OTP) services that can be activated through your HR department to make sure that you are the only person benefiting from your medical coverage. The OTP is a password received on your registered mobile number that is sent upon requesting a medical service using your ID number on GlobeMed system. When claiming your service, you will be asked by the provider for the received OTP number. 

10. What are the available channels to submit an approval request?

GlobeMed has made it easier for you to submit your requests through various channels such as:

  • Visiting the support link by scanning the QR code at the back of the medical card and choosing “Submit Approval Request” and follow the steps.
  • Messaging us on our WhatsApp number 01066669888, located at the back of the medical card, and follow the steps.
  • Downloading the GlobeMed Fit application, available on Apple store and Google play, and following the steps under the insurance section.
